Shark swimming off English coast
:Hello guys caught this rare species off the Dorset coast well not really, it came to me from a fellow brit collector English Harry, Thanks Howard The blade is damascus from Devin thomas and i love the splash patterned handles, absolutely zero play in the blade at all , there is 3 tiny adjusment screws on the underside of the knife if it needs adjusting . Lets just say i wont be stabbing no 55 gallon drums anytime soon ! Ive got the tube with its little sock cover for the knife , instructions, and the little allen key .

Congratulations Peter........enjoy the knife.
She certainly is a beauty - I never thought I would end up selling her but she's gone to a loving home and I know you will appreciate her.
All the best

Great example and I really like that Damascus.
I can see why you will be avoiding fracases with those pesky 55 gallon drums. But it is good to use with fish and chips, although one must avoid vinegar as it could stain the blade.

Talking about vinegar i had a faibairn sykes dress dagger, the blade was polished carbon steel and i thought i would use it to get a pickled onion out of the jar and wondered why it ended up with black stain spots on it i love fish and chips with lots of salt and vinegar Thanks Mr Natcherlynatcherly wrote:Great example and I really like that Damascus.

Very nice Peter, those are hard to find even on this side of the pond.
It's been almost a year since I ate English style fish & chips. I have two or three recipes and one uses dark beer,it makes the batter dark but it's real good.
I use sea salt but no vinegar,I love the taste of fresh cod so I don't use anything to cover the taste.
There is a little neighborhood pub around the corner that serves a good English style fish/chips,they make authentic chips. Mine are just sliced potatoes deep fried.
