Two from the 60's

Post by peter44 »

Hello guys :!: today is a good day as these two arrived today. The Pattada had an issue with not closing , and when i saw a photo of the button stuck down i knew it could be a broken return spring or hopefully corrosion / crap between the bolster and button , the knife gods have been kind, as it was so, WD40 And a blowjob  with the compressor and its firing and closing like a champ. Copper bolsters, brass button and safety oal is 8 and 1 half inches. Indiana extra stamp / patent to rear. Solid lock up, faux ivory scales.ImageThe second is an 8" swinger in stag, d stamped liner , nickel furniture Inox in script with patent to rear opens really fast :D solid lock up and the guards are tight too :!: ImageImage

A couple great ones Peter! It's cool that it was an easy fix on the Pattada, and the stag on the swinger is outstanding! 8)

Peter if your wife knew just how much money you have spent on knives there might be some other kind of sausage being cut.
Those are two sweet knives you have there.

I know , she is sat not two feet away from me now : I have a list of purchases that I write the price I paid for them on and I had it in my wallet after I had added to the list, I looked for it today and could not find it :o I thought it had fallen into the wrong hands  but after frantic searching I found it where I hid it the day before :!: it seems the old short term memory is not what it was  My sausage remains intact :!:

Really like the Pattada. This type of knife would make a great pocket knife. Perfect size and an auto to boot. Great find. 8)

I watch very little television but last week I stumbled across the show with the little bald guy that eats goat butts and chicken feet.
He was in Sardinia and a guy was slicing smoked pork tissue thin using a Pattada. The knife was razor sharp because the slices were see-through.

I have to get a Pattada, love the blade design.
