Crown Stag Slipjoint

Post by muskrat man »

Just finished this one up, look forward to building more like it. The antler is from a Roe deer. I built everything around the antler, even shaped the backspring with the natural dips and grooves in the antler.

That is one sweet little pocket knife :D
Great job, love the way you shaped the backspring
around the horn.

Great knife! I feel like an idiot for having to ask, but how do you unlock the blade to close it? I don't see a liner-lock nor do I see a release tab on the spine.

cleancut, it's L6, high carbon tool steel
BT,it doesn't lock, it's a slipjoint like a regular pocket knife with just backspring pressure to keep it open and closed.

thanks to all who have responded!

Wow, very nice job. And that is some cool looking stag, won't have to worry about that one slipping outta your hand aye. That knobby crown horn stag makes some of the nicest handles, whether it's a bowie or a folder, just can't be beat. Again, great job and thanks for showing us.
