My 13 inch Abalone from Rick

This is a 13 inch INOX standard blade that I had Rick rescale with abalone. I don't have it in hand yet, but this is the picture he sent me.

Yes, those are brass bolsters. It used to have wood scales on it, and it looked good the way it was, but I wanted to take the chance on abalone, and it paid off. Rick uses the following when rescaling: wood, all kinds of horn, micarta, abalone (which is a veneer over micarta or black horn), and pick bone.
