2016 Lepre Hunter
Hello Everyone,
Lepre & AGA Campolin teamed up to create an exciting new switchblade; The 2016 LepreHunyer. I'm a sucker for a new pretty knife. I had to add the new Lepre 25 cm Italian Switchblade to my Collection. I selected European Stag Antler scales. If you liked the 2015's you'll like this 2016 knife is an excellent switchblade made by Lepre. These are two very different yet they are similar in many ways. Both knives have Nickel Silver Bolsters, Button, Safety, Pins. They have a very impressive 440A Stainless Steel Blade and it's razor sharp. The firing mechanism and safety is exactly the same as in the 2015 Lepre. The blade is fired by a Plunger Style Button and to close the blade simply lift the Rabbit Ears. The Rabbit Ears are a nice touch. The small Safety is located just below the button. It doesn't attract much attention to itself. I like the short throw to arm and disarm. Some of the differences are obvious, for example: the 2015 was built on a modified Catalana brass frame - the 2016 is built on its own frame made from Nickel Silver. It doesn't appear to be stainless. The color of the liners match the bolsters and not the blade. The bolsters are square off both on ends. They are blunt and not rounded as on most knives. The channel side has two large finger grips and the rabbit ears release mechanism is a perfect thumb rest. This knife is easy to hold. It feels very comfortable in my hand. I'd almost say it's a custom fit.
The knife is well made and upon inspection it appears to be made to last. It's a beautiful knife made to work, but mine will never do any real work. It fires perfectly fast and it locks up tighter than a pit bull's jaw. The Black Leather Pouch is softer than a baby's cheek. Finally, it came with a Signed Certificate of Authenticity. There is more, but I'll leave it at this. If you have any questions about this knife, please ask. If you're looking to add a beautiful new knife to your collection this Lepre will Not disappoint you.

Re: 2016 Lepre
Hey John, you might want to edit the post to delete all the duplicate pictures. LePre's are beautiful and that one is stunning in stag. I had a nice one in Brazilian, which I immediately sold ... it wasn't a stiletto.

I love this blade shape ,good for edc and also combative if required.
I also like the tang stamp ,ive not looked at le pre before now but I can tell from this knife that its sheer quality .Handmade?
The handle looks so comfortable in the pictures and the stag is stunning, its like the stag on german hunting knives of old and hand picked for the knife by the maker.
Never seen the rabbit ears before, and the nice slightly hidden safety.
Thanks for showing whats out there, ive a lot to learn, but thats a great looking knife in all departments.
It screams quality and ill be looking into the maker more closely.
Id love to see your collection mate and thanks for the great pics.
Wish I could add something of this quality to my collection but I cant buy for a while so ill have to look here for my switch fix and this is a good start.
Thanks for sharing this John
Regards
Ian

That's a piece of razor-sharp sweetness! There's something "utilitarian" or "Cacciatore" about it!

Hi Dave,
My fat fingers must have hit submit. I was surprised to see what I had posted.
I made an improvement; I hope you like it.

Re: 2016 Lepre Hunter
John: That is so nice. The "cacciatore" (hunter style) remark meant the Lepre knife is the style used by the huntsmen of Europe. It is VERY impressive.
