Yes, that is some great horn. Nice thick backspring too. Did you say it was a pick or transitional?

Really nice, its sad somebody tried to sharpen the blade somewhere along the line.

Very nice, and like Blackjack mentioned, to bad about the blade. I'm sure you can get it re-polished if needed.

Sam,
That's an awesome old pickock...really beautiful horn! I hope you can get someone to at least try and get that blade polished out. From these pics, it looks like the grinding is pretty bad but better to have it look as good as possible because otherwise, the knife is in great shape...a piece of history that should be preserved as well as possible.
