I didn't have that one exactly, but I had one like that. I'm going to look for it; I think I know where it is and post a photo.

I had one just like that when I was six or seven years old. Unfortunately, mine is long gone.

Straydog, the ME 109 was a cool model. I built several of the World War II model airplanes when I was a kid. Back on the topic of the knife, I remember the blades on mine were tight and hard to open. Perhaps that's one reason I became interested in switchblades because of finger nails that broke from trying to open knives.Straydog 5247 wrote:Fellers ! ...I had one as a kid , for a total of 15 miniutes !......I traded a neighbor kid a ME 109 airplane ( unassembled ) model kit for it ! I had one of those as a kid. I remember I was throwing it, trying to get it to stick in a tree, and the blade tip snapped off. I was probably 7 or 8 years old at the time.

In think, when we were kids, we all had something similar
Re: How many had one of these as a kid?
My first knife in 1967 or 68- It is an Ulster I got from a special offer from a Prince Albert tobacco tin my Granddad had.
They offered a 3-bladed Stockman,Barlow and this Camper.
Dad got the Barlow,my brother got the Stockman and I got the Camper.
Not sure but I think it cost a whopping 3.95.
Interesting that Missa posted this because I just found this a few day ago in my boxes of junk after all these years.
Never been sharpened, looks like real pick bone but I doubt it and good ole carbon steel.
Still fairly sharp after all this time.
Very proud of this knife.

Seems I had a couple of those, at least. Really liked that spike or punch or whatever...Then somebody invented the pop-top and I couldn't find much use for it.
I do remember that knife taught me to love lock-backs. I had my last episode with it 50 years ago and I STILL have visible knuckle scars.

HOW OLD ARE WE.. Do refer to the old ring pull beer cans or the ones where one needed to use the can opener to "pop a top"
