Monday's new knives
Couple of new ones arrived today. Forgive my cut and past descriptions. BladeHQ does a better job than I can.

This new model features textured T6 gray anodized aluminum handles. Only the front is textured as the back has a matte satin finished pocket clip (tip-up). The blade is satin finished S30-V steel with production information on the front, plain edge. This model also includes a black nylon buckle sheath.

Weight: 3.6 oz.
Asheville Steel Paragon ATKO10 OTF Knife (Dagger / Black Full SER)
The ATKO 10- Another resurrected design from the boys at Asheville Steel. Just push the button and the knife fires out the front of the handle. To retract the blade just press the button in and use the retracing lever to pull the blade back in. This out the front knife features a sturdy black anodized T6 aluminum handle. The S30V black DLC finished blade features the highly requested double edged one side plain and one side serrated configuration. The ATKO 10 has a pocket clip for easy carry (tip down) and a safety to ensure the knife is not fired by mistake. Made in the USA & new in box.

No comparison. The Protech is a superior knife. I think I would like the size of the Godson over the Godfather. Both are wicked knives. The LUDT is a boring knife. Totally boring. I was disappointed in the Paragon as well. Not worth the money in my opinion. The aluminum handle really feels cheap and has no grip. Blade is ok. Not much movement and super sharp. I've had more fun with $10 cupid knock off. Both will be going to a good home on Friday. Next knife will be an Excalibur and there is another Halo V and Nemesis in the horizon.FreeTheArmy wrote:cool additions, Jmack!

Re: Monday's new knives
My every day carry for the last 7 years has been an UMS which is the same thing as the LUDT but has a different texture on the handle and a lock.
They may seem a little boring but it's all about quality and usability, they are a no nonsense cutting tool without any frills.
The last Microtech I bought is the very same thing you have here except mine has the "two-tone" blade.
The S30V steel is scary sharp.
Don't know much about the Paragon otf.
You have some nice new editions

Re: Monday's new knives
I did some checking on the MUDT and I think I would prefer that knife over the LUDT. Very good reviews and the size seems to be a better fit for EDC.Vagrant wrote:The MUDT is a great "Gent's knife"
Re: Monday's new knives
Microtech used to make the UMS (Uniformed Military Service) but it now called the LUDT (Large Underwater Demolition Team)
And yes they are nice and flat and really just a perfect edc.
Has anyone seen that MT Cobra? The one that looks like a Mikov? That thing has 4 stainless kick springs
It is obvious the design is copied from Mikov but I won't elaborate on that.
Still a very cool knife.
I want the LUDT in these colors some day.
They are always sold out of the blue

$345 each. MT will be bringing out the Cobra for $400 dollars. Tactical black. I'm waiting for it to be available. BladeOps will have them.

Say bud. Your OTF got my attention. I got the crapinise clone, And I'll bet yours cost a pretty penny. Very nice.
