Questions about Boker 712R Age and Value
I was hoping to gather some information regarding my Boker 712R leverlock. I read about a similar knife on the forums from 2021 and wanted to determine if my knife is similar in age and in value. I don't know a lot about this particular knife and hoped someone might be able to tell me what age/decade of production it might be and also what the current value in today's market might be. Also, based on the photos, what does the handle appear to be constructed from?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Courtney

Re: Questions about Boker 712R Age and Value
I believe your 712 is one of the last ones made. Many of these were only partially assembled and finished here.
Is the kick spring made from round stock, or flat?
The handle is stag-deer antler.

All you have to do is look at it. It's in the blade well.
Is it round like wire? Or flat-square?

Thanks, Bill. It is round like a wire.
Also, would you happen to know what years this particular knife was manufactured? What do you think the current day value of it would be? Thanks again for your feedback.

Probably around 2010. Someone else will have to give you value. I'm not a dealer.

It's older than that. I have two Bokers I bought new in Germany. The first one was in 1986 and has the shiny blade and the second one I bought in 1991 has the frosted blade. I would guess his was made in the early to mid-1980s.Bill DeShivs wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 6:28 pm Probably around 2010. Someone else will have to give you value. I'm not a dealer.

I put a whole bunch of these together after Boker discontinued them. They had high polished 712 blades and stag handles. the 1980s Bokers had flat leaf springs.
