japanese lockbacks
hey all!
anyone know anything about these nifty little japanese lockbacks?
why does one have the additional mm12-70 stamp above "stainless steel japan"?
one is fishtail and both have different front bolsters...is one older than another?

They made all different styles in the early to late sixities. I had some with buttons that could be pushed. I have also had and have some like the ones you show. They were all made I would venture from the same factory because they are all pretty much identical except form differences in buttons, bolsters. I do know that the ones with clip blades are mush newer then the Bayo. I also wonder if these or I should say the maker or factory had anything to do with Rizutto?. As far as the stamps go I think who ever called in sick and someone else stamped they put what they wanted on them. I also have some 11"s with sheepfoot blades because there was a time in the 70's or 80's when Japan went ballistic about any knife that came to a point and made them illegal.I keep trying to find out particulars cause the whole storey is fuzzy and I would love to hear the real deal.

Take a picture of it and post it.... I'm sure we could ALL do with a laugh... .... how many dozen of them do you need these days to buy something around about the cost of a packet of cigarettes??
Best wishes

bullets are cheaper, and do the job faster than cigs....maybe missaman can spot you the tenner until your dole cheque arrives
oh yeah, and by the way - everything in the UK costs almost exactly double what they would cost here in canada!
