I thought id post this german portable tool set to see if anyone has similar to it but maybe American or another country.
Its really a swiss army knife in reverse where the blades hook into the knife tightly over a bar engaging rhe backspring.
It has an excellent file, saw ,hammer and chisel ,screwdriver plus a few wood boring toolsall are up to their inherant tasks.
Its a very solid no play whatsoever mechanism and the tools themselves are of real quality .They fit tight and have no movement ,i love the hammer as a pivot pin tightener on my switches.
This one is marked hubeo and was made by hugo & berns a german maker active in ww2 and before for daggers etc but turned to making these tools later.
The penknife blade is carbon and is razor sharp with no play at all and it has a nice card/cloth faux leather wallet .
Thought you may like a look at something different ,i picked it up for 12 pounds at a car boot sale here in England and its a great piece of kit i can use .
Has anyone any similar tools ,knife tools of any ingenious or interesting design, would kove to see them if possible.
I particulaly like the knives that double up as axes and matched sets by scrade etc.
Thanks
Ian

Re: Old toolkit knife
I like the old Tool Kit Knife... and the spiked truncheon! (A sure "attention getter")! If that wouldn't quiet Andy Capp's wife Flo, I don't know what would!
