I stand corrected. I went back and looked and you're right Jeff. Its scales aren't pinned like they would be on a 10.5" either. I thought I read on here somewhere that it was one of the larger ones, hmm.

Thank you, It's a fun knife. I hope they restock soon so you and everyone else can get as many as they want.

John
I agree. I wish they would restock with the longer (10 incher) ones.
I'm with you on that I'd grab a 10" incher too. I'd like to get one from Japan too.
My first switch was a black handled one. I've got a different one like it in a case for sentiment. A little ways back I got a white handled 10 1/2 w/ batwing guards (Japanese) from a trusted seller here.
The reason I wanted it was because he bought it new in Mexico in the early 90s and it sat for a long time in storage. Last he checked it wont switch open.
He's right, I've tried everything short of damaging it to try to get it open but I'm convinced the rocker is busted so It's been in line to get fixed one of these days and hopefully resolve the peek.

Wow, no lie I've got that same EXACT white batwing Rizzuto, and mine has a broken rocker also. Mine peeks a LOT though and I don't really have any intention to fix it. I actually stole the guards off of it to replace the guards on a lockback Rizzuto I have. Try flippin it upside down (button facing the floor) while holding the blade all the way closed and tap on the top bolster, then let go of the blade while its still upside down and see if it opens. That's what I have to do to get the blade on mine to release.

Can't keep away from the rizzy talk!! I agree on the Korean swingers, they just aren't right with tightened guards, the guard rattle is a part of the design and you'll never get them to rest solid against the top bolster with a hammer alone. If you want solid guards you'll have to press your luck with the older Japanese, the step bolster-type having the most success rate.

Here's a little vid clip of the 7" black "step" or "Lil' Buddy Rep" I just recently purchased via this thread. It's a dandy, every bit as nice as my white one.

(This is a bit of a shameless plug, but since we are on the subject of Rizzys anyways I figure what the hell)

John, or anybody else that might be interested, I just put up a Japanese Rizzuto for sale on the Sharper Deal auction if you wanna take a look...
