Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
It looks as if it's a lock-back (look at the back of the bottom bolster). I could be wrong, but I don't think so.JimBrown257 wrote:How does the converted Buck-type lock?

Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
You're right; I see it now. It's tough to notice against the bolster. I was thinking it might have been a non-locker that was turned into a bolster o/c but that wouldn't actually work unless a new blade was made.
And do you know what kind of knife that is? I imagine it is a good knife as someone probably wouldn't go to all that trouble to do that stuff to a cheapo.

Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
I was trying to figure out what it was also. There's a brand called Normark that's been around for years but none of their knives that I've seen look like the converted auto in the pic. I'm guessing the swinguards are not original to the knife?
Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
its a quality knife for sure and it is a lock back locks up snug the swinguards are not original . my buddys says he got from a gun show a couple years ago. im going to try to get some better pics up here tonight but my camera is acting up
theyre all minty

Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
How about just describing the swinger on the right. Are the scales black with white or are they the brownish kind? And is there a red dot?
Also, what kind of scales does the Buck-type have?

Re: VINTAGE AUTOS FOR SALE
scales are awesome horn with wisps of white , yes it has the red dot. never sharpened locks up solid seats deep.
the buck type has what I believe are sambar stag scales , seats deep, solid lock up ect. really a quality knife.
i am sorry about the crappy photos my computers camera sucks and my handheld is kinda tarded for the moment.
but as i said before my buddy needs these gone .
