Hey I wonder if Al's power is down as he has not logged on and there was a MAJOR ice storm in NH.....Al are you OK?

my g/f works about 1/2 way between where we live and where al lives. she called this morning from there and said it looks like a bomb went off it's such a mess up there trees down, some people still don't have power.

As of last night (11 oclock news) there were still about 250,000 people in Southern N.H. without power. some areas probably won't have it restored till the end of the week.

Power. [including waterpump], heat, phone, and internet, all OFF from Thurs until an hour ago

BUT, we're "country" enough to be use to it and work our way around everything [except the lack of internet]

And, who cared about NO phone

The only "storm related" casualties ?
One or two things in the freezer we will have to eat in a day or two

On a LATE-night walk, Rommel got in a fight with something small, that put up a HELL of a fight

Probably a weasle, I tried to pull it out of his mouth but he ran away chewing, shaking and coughing. When I caught up with him he was on his side and NOT breathing

I tried picking him up and must have done a [partial] Heimlich because he coughed and swallowed and started beathing again. In a few seconds he was on his feet again, like nothing had happened

When we got home we could see BLOOD all over him but NONE of it was his

So the score is Rommel 1 - swallowed victim 0

Glad you and Rommel are OK. Poor dog had to rely on "wild" food, did he? Guess you'd better invest in a manually operated can opener so this won't be an issue next time...

Dog food is waaaay down on his list

He prefers "people food" or anything he can catch

He especially LOVES seriously spicy stuff - Cabots Habanero Cheese is a favorite with both him and Gretchen
