Bud Nealy dagger
I bought this Bud Nealy custom, Aikuchi knife in the early 1990s. It has rubberized handle and Damascus Meier Steel blade, that is razor sharp. It measures 9” overall and has a 4.75” blade. The blade has a serial number of 929.

Nice!
Re: Bud Nealy dagger
The rubber handle has held up pretty well, but I think it will need some help soon so that it doesn't get brittle. Any ideas out there about this?

Prober, all that comes to mind is something like Armor All or any kind of tire/ vinyl conditioner. The downside is it's likely to make the grip slippery. Oils degrade rubber so that's no good. That would also cause slipperiness. Maybe someone else here knows something better.

Yeah, Twobit, I am conflicted on this because I want to adhere to the "first, do no harm" credo.
