Re: SKM
From time to time you can find then on AKC/ Knifeshop. The quality is pretty good from my point of vieuw. I had few of 'm.
Re: SKM
SKM made knives in various lengths and 8” was one size they offered. The knives were fairly in expensive and of decent quality. As with all knife makers occasionally they would produce one of poor quality. I like all of my SKM stiletto knives.

Re: SKM
So there is no 13" production at this moment?
Re: SKM
John - I bought some knives directly from SKM back in the 2000 - 2003 timeframe. None of the ones I bought are stamped SKM. They all have the usual stamps from the era that you know well, various combinations of inox, Italy, stainless etc. That is not to say that there aren't any identified as SKM, but I don't have any or remember seeing any.

Hi Jim,
I bought my first switchblade from SKM. When it arrived I thought I died and went to heaven. It was an 11” classic black scaled stiletto with a bayonet blade. The tang was stamped inox. I still have it. I’ve never seen an SKM stamped knife. I don’t think any were ever made. Someone on the forums wold have posted it.
I was curious if any are still available. It seems every now and then a box of knives turns up in a closet or on a shelf next to a case of wine and next to another box with a dozen or do of Latamas.

Re: SKM
Hello!
The knives manufactored by SKM / AB Coltellerie were definitely NOT stamped as "SKM".
The SKM stamp was a later one, and they were mostly sold by other web sites, as SKM had already been shut down.

Re: SKM
AB Coltellerie (Armando Beltrame) was the knifemaker behind the SKM "core" models: Italian Stiletto 8", 9" and 11". These had various etchings over time, including: "Made in Italy", "AB Coltellerie", "AB" and (in the last years) "SKM".
The other knives sold at SKM (bigger Stilettos, Lever Locks, etc) were - and some still are - made by other Maniago knifemakers.
The original knives made by AB Coltellerie are definitely not manufactured anymore, as Armando is retired now and the factory essentially closed.
