True, but perhaps the same could be said about picklocks in general. I've yet to see one cloned and wind up on dhgate or ebay or a flea market, although I fear that day is coming.

However uncommon, the stigma around that stamp is just marketing, which feels weird to say about a product produced 70+ years ago. You can have Mario and a Latama same size same condition same scales basically the same knife side by side and the Latama is $300 more because of the stamp. I believe some variation in overall heftiness exists in some Latamas but this can also be found with other stamps.

It wouldn't be until February 2019 and a visit to the Gator show that I learned Latamas in general aren't really all that rare, they're just expensive
I've always loved that 8" Latama Kris blade you have there Luke! There's just something about that one.
I know what you mean Chris,I had that Latama for a very long time, however I know that it went not only to a good home but to a very good friend.

As requested, here are photos of my 13” picklock closed. Obviously, I’m still working on my photography skills.

Might be why you think your pictures aren't good. Believe me I'm no expert on photography but your pictures look fine to me.
