I like that handle finish on the French knife. Can't remember the name of it...they do the same on some pistol grips.

These photos are awesome. I’ve never seen a fulcrum in person. I’m trying to figure out how they work. It looks like maybe the lever pulls back on the shell puller and pushes forward toward the blade on the others. ???
I really like the shell puller with the push button and straight handle. Is that style French? The few I’ve seen like that have been described as French.
The Cartailler is really cool, too. I love the design and have seen a few variations. There’s a neat camper model with a corkscrew and bottle opener, I believe with the same stamp as the one pictured here. AGA makes/made a ring puller version but I think with a narrower handle and of course not with those cool black plastic scales. What are the dimensions of this one, if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks for posting the great photos!

The fulcrum is pretty simple. You push down on the end and the other side lifts the backspring up. On other models you do push the fulcrum up towards the blade but it does the same thing.

If you want a cheap one of those fulcrum pullers, send me a pm; that orange one is available.

And those ones are Italian.

The big 12" Stag Catalana is a prototype with SOLID brass bolsters.
The blade is like a mirror. 8)

The Big Cat is the proto. They weren't marked with anything but a single number on the side of the fulcrum. Mine has only a dot to signify it is the first proto. All the proto's (I think there were 9) were slightly different.

The group shot has a Trebol, 3-M Italy in an oval and the Manual kris is marked DACO.

Hello everyone, I'm interested in the mechanics of the fulcrum knife. If anyone can point me to some kind of sketch or drawing of some kind I would be grateful. Thanks in advance 😊
Happy collecting/building to one and all. :D
