I ordered a new Italian picklock from overseas as a Christmas gift. After inspecting it, the bolster/pivot pin wasn't hammered enough and there is 3/16" of play when you pinch the bolsters. Any suggestions on how to correct this with out damaging the knife? Dremel off the pin top and re-hammer?
Thanks.

I don't have the knife in hand. I gifted to my nephew.

That would do it but if you don't know what you're doing you could make things worse.schnaggletooth wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 4:37 am I ordered a new Italian picklock from overseas as a Christmas gift. 10-4 Sammy the blade. I'll let him enjoy the novelty for awhile. It's a bummer paying for such crappy quality. I'm 50-50 on buying 4 new Italian switch blades this past year. I sent one back overseas for a refund and this is the second one with a major flaw.

I sold most of my Italians years ago but the quality control has really been slipping in recent years from what I hear.
