Hi all, new user and probably first and last post. I appreciate any help you guys can give. I recently acquired a old Raimondo picklock auto. It's stamped Raimondo on the blade and I think Rostfrei over Spring on the base of the blade. Its 100% functional and has wear, also is razor sharp. Also the handles are black. I don't know what the handle material is. I would really like to pick your brains of the value and maybe find a home for it as I don't collect these, more of a firearms enthusiast. Thank-you and I look forward to the info. Will try to post pictures.

Pictures will definitely help. There is someone here that will be able to fill you in on all your questions about your knife and it's worth!

Nice catch. I'm sure some of the vintage collectors will chime in with information about it. In a nutshell you've got a relatively rare vintage example of a knife that's no longer in production.

Hi Sethd11
More likely not a lot survived the ravages of time and constant opening of the knife. Many over sharpened losing blade definition
Id say around the mid 50s but more knowleadgeable people will give a definite opinion.
I like raimondos and thats a nice looking bayonet bladed knife .Nickle silver brass lined bolsters ,put together in italy by hand.
Its a named vintage picklock and in reasonably good original condition from the picture.
The handles are buffalo horn and its a mean looking switchblade ,no frills just buisness .
What length is the knife? Id like to see a close up of the blade stamp if possible.
Thanks for sharing it here Seth.
Ill leave the price to the more knowleadgeable .
Id love to buy it.

Nice knife ! Most black handled Raimondo knives have plastic scales and are not that uncommon but still desirable amongst collectors , its the horn handled examples that are fairly scarce , said to be from local cow and have a very distinctive look to them.like this

I go along with niceguy. The scales on this one look to be plastic. Super knives just fall into his hands. I have not been so lucky so I consider these pretty rare. I would consider $500-600 a good price. Here are my spring rostfrei's, 2 stamped Raimondo.

Looks to me that the blades been grinded on from the pictures which would drastically affect its monetary value . if that`s the case fastr19 s numbers are high ( in my opinion )

No grinding. Whetstone. Can't even feel the marks. Razor sharp
