New Fake Leverlettos!
I'm pleased to announce that the Leverletto has been copied yet again!
Yes! That wonderful emporium "Roadside Imports" and Rubens Blades have spent a lot of money to make Leverletto copies. They even etch the blades with "Leverletto.com." How's that for class?
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Re: New Fake Leverlettos!
It reminds me of the old rhetorical question "How low can you go?"

Re: New Fake Leverlettos!
I'm wasn't a fan of the old fake Leverletto's that are being made in China did the world really need another ? cant roadside import's use his imagination and come up something of his own to etch on the blade instead of stealing other peoples idea's .
Re: New Fake Leverlettos!
i think the problem is (patents) , the real Leverlettos are made in italy and patented right ? to not have someone make/steal your idea you have to patent your idea in every country in the world just like Coca-Cola did and still does , whenever a new country is added to the world Coca Cola goes there and patents their product so noone can use or steal their idea , if you do not want anyone to steal or use your idea this is what has to be done . whatever country you do not patent your idea in then anyone in that country can use/steal your idea with no problems . just wondering but why is the Leverletto not patented in USA ?

Re: New Fake Leverlettos!
People misunderstand about patents. There is nothing patentable about the Leverletto. The design is registered in Italy.
Now the trademark is a different matter.

As the "Leverletto" is a registered trademark as evidenced by the ®, doesn't that provide some protection? Of course hiring a lawyer to obtain an injunction may not be cost effective, but I'd love to see Josh and Rubin/Nemo squirm a little. They richly deserve it.

I agree!
Therefore, I pledge $100 buck dollars to help Mr. BDS should he choose to take them to court...

With all the designs out there that could have been copied I can't help but to view this as a little personal.

Oh it's MORE than a little personal!
Thanks, Jerrbear. It's greatly appreciated, but I can handle whatever needs to be done.

Re: New Fake Leverlettos!
Jerry beat me to the punch, I was going to suggest a fund raiser but I thought to myself Bill is above this and why give this absurd behavior any more attention?
The forums have become a "who's who" kind of thing and falling into the silly childish BS is just what these people thrive on.
Bill took a simple design and made it unusual and collectable certainly hoped for a desirable piece for collectors.
He succeeded beyond compare. Job well done.
Thousands of pieces have been customized and personalized but never before copied by Chinese and when a piece reaches the heathen communist/global concept of an item worthy of imitation a man has to think to himself "I have done something here"
I can't speak for Bill but I can't think of another artist that has created a unique knife (In the German/Italian style) that has created such a stir as the Leverletto.
Cheers to Bill and his ability to say "screw you" and move forward.
Cheers Bill,Thanks for your time and your awesome work on this old knife.
A repeat post-
Took a knife ready for the dumpster and turned it into a masterpiece.

Thank you! By the way- I didn't say "F you" on that other forum. That was "edited" into my post.
