That seems clear to me that different engravings might be a problem...Do you guys really want more problems and delays with this endeavor?

Jmo- but if everybody can't sort it out quick, somebody needs to take charge and make a decision for everyone...

If someone can provide the official list of those who are getting this piece of history, and post that list here, I will be glad to annotate it with those who have already made a choice and go after those not yet been heard from. We can set a reasonable date for the final vote, say a week from today, and viola...

We have three choices; only one can win:
1. 2011
2. 2012
2 2011-2012
Here ya go Mr Natch.

I also think 2011-2012 is the best option, and it won't be hard to do it.

Cheers,
M.

OK, here we go. Mr Arthas has intimated that any of the three choices, 2011, 2012 or 2011-2012, should be no problem to execute. Below is the list of those who have a knife coming along with the choices made so far after the three options had been established. The deadline is December 16 to make your final choice. You can change your choice up to the deadline.
Winner to be that choice with the most votes. In case of tie, Mr Arthas will cast tiebreaker. Simple.
I will PM and rattle the cages of those who have not responded by Dec 13.

I took the liberty to edit my choice from 2011 to 2011-2012.
I am easy to please.
Heck the world will end 12/31/2012 anyway.
How about having Talk Blade-Apocalypse etched on'em?

Mr. Arthas,

I would like to propose a special etching on the blade in very super-small text that can only be read with a magnifying glass.
It goes like this,

I am holding the coveted forum knife,
Had to wait, all my life.
While I waited I thought of those,
who scratched their ass,
and picked their nose.
I'd hate to drop it in the sewers,
Until I pawn it for a case of Coor's.

Well, waddya think?

Best regards,

Bonz

There was a young man from Mt. Zoomie
Whose poetic bent was most gloomy
Upon reading his verse
One would think, “How perverse!”
And choose to read things less loony.

Misser Bongo,

I'm not Mr. Arthas but I think you'll agree

That I'll tell you what I think 'cuz that's just me

As you know, I'm not one to be unkind

But I think you're outta your rabbit-assed mind
