The Cross and the Switchblade has four switchblades in it. Most notably, the otf with an opening/closing door that covers the hole the blade comes out of when the knife is closed. This movie is the only place I've seen a double action otf with one of those...

Your the best on getting these pictures!!! WOW! The OTF with the cover is strange as the only one of that design with a cover was the true Italian ones that had a button and did not retract via a spring. Maybe the prop guys added it to a standard NATO after seeing the Italian ones, but they wanted the auto in and out function?

In the movie "The Abyss" there is an older looking stag stiletto that pops up a few times.

Thanks! Gunner made a post a while back (possibly in a different forum) about that otf with a cover in The Cross and the Switchblade. He made it sound like it was a real knife that was once for sale. Maybe he will chime in and give some more info on it.

In the Warriors you missed the 13" stiletto on the kid on the roller skates!

Another sighting!

I was dubbing Class Of 1999 and spotted two swing guards. One guy pulls one on the evil cyber-teacher in the hall, and the main character uses one to jimmy a window. Blade profile looks strange... kinda blimp-nosed. Also, in the window-jimmying scene it looks like one of the guards is loose.

I had expected to see one in Prayer Of The Rollerboys but there were none.

*edit* make it three scenes. Main character jabs it right between Pam Grier's bionic boobies, and it falls to the ground with a way wrong sound effect.
I walked a mile in my enemy's shoes.... And then I stole his shoes.

Thanks for the link. Thats a pretty decent sized list. Here are a couple from there that I haven't done yet.

This one in Ernest Goes To Camp looks like it might be a leverlock...

Thanks for adding the missing one to the warriors, and it looks to be an 11" standard ( flat) blade, not a 13"...

Darn! You beat me to it. I was going to mention Warriors- The bathroom scene the guy on skates has a big stiletto, probably a 13".

My favorite scene was the Baseball Furies fight in the park.

Here is a cool link,it's a list of all the gangs in The Warriors
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ga ... e_Warriors

Here is a vid of the subway bathroom fight scene.
Some good *ss-whoopin' in this one.

The furies were the scariest. How they didn't talk, sported white painted faces and Yankee uniforms w/ baseball bats was great.
I wish I could find an old Tales from the Crypt episode from the 80's HBO series. One of them had a Jack the Ripper story in it. The Character they used to portray JTR carried a 13" stiletto (kriss blade I think)
I thought it was titled "Fantasy" but I must be wrong,
I looked and can't find it.
