The Knife Auction
Just got word that the man that ran THE KNIFE AUCTION, George "Gator" Thomas has passed away. Our sympathy goes out to his family.

Never met him but did buy one or two things from him. He still has knives listed so this must have been unexpected. My condolences to his family.

Re: The Knife Auction
Sorry to hear, my condolences to the family.
I didn't realize he was the one that owned the auction site. I thought he was just a seller.

Gator will be missed by many! He was a skilled craftsman and an internet buddy.
I wish I had a chance to say goodbye

Re: The Knife Auction
Here's a sampling of some of the knives he made for me...
.
I had 6 more customs on order... We were getting pretty specialized! One was going to an 11 inch abalone stiletto with diamond firing button and all metal was going to be black chromed.
.
Show your Gators if you have any.

Good idea Roger...
Re: The Knife Auction
This is horrible news!! I knew Gator, it had been way too long since I spoke with him, I didn't know he owned Theknifeauction.com. A very skilled man that was working on doing picklocks from scratch. I don't have any of his custom pieces sadly, but I do have a non-customized white pearlex Edge Co stiletto kit that he assembled back in the 80's. I'm very sorry to hear about this, my condolences to his wife & family.
