Switchblade Pictured Paperbacks

Post by Wray1958 »

Here are 2 paperback books that were popular in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The book Rumble was by famous author Harlan Ellison who did join an actual 1950s gang for 10 months. The book was republished in the 70s under the title Web Of The City. You can find cheap copies of Web Of The City on Ebay, Amazon, and ABE Books.

That Sex Gang book reminds me of the crappy books sold in cigar stores to dirty old men and college kids back in the 60's. They tended to be pretty badly written with little plot or character development

I happened to catch part of the movie The Cross and the Switchblade on one of the religious channels the other day. Starred Eric Estrada and Pat Boone...Wow, was it bad imo.

Here is one you probably won't ever see in your life again. It's a rare paperpback version of "The Blackboard Jungle" with a very rare "fat body wasp" flatguard. Pictured on the book is my La Vespa flatguard wasp of the same pattern.
