The Kriss-Swinguard knife

Post by DISTORTION »

Happy new year,everyone :D

I have not been here for about seven years but decided to check on a little something after finding a link to Talkblade on David's Mikov site :)
It seems that some clever bladesmith has actually crafted the Kriss-swinger that is my avatar, created by me with less than good software back in about 2002. I should like to know WHO finally did it and their accomplices because I know that some of you are very crafty, indeed ;) Way to go!

AGA Campolin makes a beautiful 13" swinger with a kriss blade.

Jagman made a couple of customs in 2004 by welding Kris stiletto blades onto the stumps of bayonet swinger blades. The results were quite good, but it took a lot of pushing from the likes of Wally J. Corpse and others to convince Frank B to began producing 11" Kris swingers in mid-2005.

Below is a picture of the early Jagman knives (the two on the right) compared to a regular flat grind swinger of that period

I found this knife as a unique one, and I like the style of this.

Didn't He Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken®©™ (B.Skipper) once claim credit for the kriss swinger?
Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.

i think the makers should get the credit , Frank Beltrame first did the 11" kriss swing , then Angelo Campolin (AKC) did the 9" kriss swing, and just recently Angelo did the 13" kriss swing.
Thanks Bernie

Hello to everyone who remembers me from the good ol days! and greetings to those who dont.
These kris swingers were built because the factory was not building them at the time, we had been discussing it for months back in 03/04 and it was Pushbutton (RIP) who gave me the idea of cutting a kris blade and welding it to the swingguard body - which is exactly what I did, with constant prodding from Wally for added incentive.
Made quite a few at the time and one for a forum/passaround knife (the one with the bone scales).
I dont remember the guy's name but someone did kinda claim it and got the factory to produce them later, which of course inclined me to stop my measly production, but then again, a factory run of the kris swinger was the origonal goal.
Rob aka Jagman.
ps. I kept the first one - faux mop, Wally got the 2nd, black scales. Mr. Natch won the 3rd built, the passaround.

right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think
I've forgotten this before.

Hello Rob aka Jagman,
The 2004 TB knife is awesome. I wasn't a member back then, but I w'd have gotten one. It's too bad there aren't any left; I wish I had one.
