Been carrying a TR-3 on and off for years; have several others. PT is a great manufacturer of quality; well built knives.

Re: Could someone explain the lack of enthusiasm?
I have Italians for the beauty and American for the usefulness. I also find both beauty and usefulness in American made such as Protech Brends. For me it's the Italians that hooked me on autos as a kid.

Sometimes with a weak kicker; the way you hold it while opening can help. Try different grips or positions of holding. Just a thought.

Wow; I can see why Bill uses the 2x72. Those are nice, powerful, and obviously useful for folks who are true craftsmen. For my casual, minor uses I expect the 1x30 will fill the need. Thanks guys.

Re: Belt sander recommendations
Thanks John and Bill. I predict a purchase at Harbor Freight tomorrow when the coupons are best. The 1x30 should handle my casual needs well. Greg

Belt sander recommendations
I would like an inexpensive belt sander for some casual knife work. Something to work mostly on knives and do blade profile changes, blade slab sanding and general small shop work. What size has the most diversity of abrasives and general use. A leather belt would be nice too. Here is what I've seen...

Re: San Frqncico
Fellers and gals; San Fagsicko is just the place for rump rangers and foreign maggots to do as they please with no repercussions. To say more would violate some policy here and probably some perverted Feral Law.

I'm fond of my ESEE Laser Strike. Takes a keen and durable edge; sharpens easily when needed.

Here's my simple rule for anything the lamestream media spews: turn it 180 degrees to what they say and you'll be close to the truth. Pravda was never as deceptive as the USA media.

Re: Custom or bull
I've noticed that he hasn't been selling the Chinese leverletto clones lately. He does still sell other Chinese crap but not the volume he had been. Probably found another outlet for the substandard crap he sells.

Re: Custom or bull
Clearly I'm the one who said trademark infringement. That appears to been a poor choice. The knives sold by the slick vendor are Chinese POS and the poor copies dupe the uninformed. It is an example of doing business without ethics. The knives he sells will reflect poorly on the quality products the...

Re: Custom or bull
This is not eGay; it's gunbroker. I sent them a complaint with several links for the vendor stating the trademark infringements and selling of Chinese fakes. I have made many gun trades over the last 15 yrs on GB and been pleased. I went there looking at knives after it was mentioned here. What I fo...
