Re: Japan-marked Rizzy
Any ideas when these were made? Late production? I've been told that the Rizzies with that style of "ears" on the guards were later production than all the others. However I was also told that they were produced in Taiwan like some of the more modern Rizzuto clones. The Japan stamps obviously debun...

Re: Japan-marked Rizzy
Nice. I refer to that scale style as "marbled" plastic. Here's a red-scaled Rizzy that also has the "marbled" scales and Japan stamped on the tang... http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz330/BTB0923/65EB6B8D-F550-4AA8-823B-AB72CEEF170C-1141-0000023B91A77D92_zps2b22f01a.jpg http://i840.photobucket.co...

Re: anyone paying attention...?
Why give the guy more attention? He's already getting enough from the media (unfortunately). I don't care about what he has to say or what else he does if he actually killed people. Let's just hope he's caught before he can continue being a moron.

Re: Can someone explain this ballistic knife?
A ballistic knife is a knife with a detachable, self-propelled blade that can be ejected to a distance of several meters by pressing a trigger or operating a lever or switch on the handle. Spring-powered ballistic knives briefly gained notoriety in the United States in the mid-1980s after commercia...

Re: Switchblade collection
You are referring to all the different Spanish stiletto variations apparently. The Hellraiser knife is a very specific variation Well, yeah; there are only a few of the exact Hellraiser knives but I was thinking about all the variations of that knife (those are all Matadors, right?). The Matador is...

Re: Switchblade collection
Five? You must be only counting the ones that are just like the Hellraiser Knife (like the one in the OP). I'm counting all the versions (fixed-guard, swinger, all lengths, etc...) that I've seen. There are more than five just in this thread (and I don't think your's or the OP's is pictured). I was...

Re: Switchblade collection
I've seen probably a dozen of them. Most of them seem to have been blades that were carried before becoming prized collectors items. Most of the ones I've seen peeked or had pretty serious backward blade lean or were missing a guard or whatever. I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on that. edit: i...

Re: Movie Switchblades
That's a cool blade style. Anyone know what it is? I think it's an old Flylock like this one. You can see the elongated button in the first pic that RSD100 posted a page back. Thanx fellas. I need to brush up on Schrade designs. It was the bevel on the top that threw me. You're welcome. TBH I didn'...

Re: Switchblade collection
Nice collection Mike! The middle pic certainly does stand out. Is the Hellraiser knife in good condition? Those are pretty rare in any condition; the ones you do see are often pretty beat up. Your's looks nice. There aren't enough known examples to word it like that. I've never seen a truly beat up ...

Re: Look what I got today!!
Oh yeah! I still got it! Not letting that one go for sure! I swear though...yours is different than mine. I've closely studied the pics of yours, and I've seen small differences in both our knives. Yours has the tang stamp..mine doesn't. Yours opens as if it has more weight to it..while mine looks ...
