Re: Burn knives?
Very nice collection lexluther! At one time I owned 3 and actually carried one of those a few times. I stopped when it fell out of my pocket. The knife ended up with a ding in the bolster. I figured that was like having a $100 bill fall out of my pocket and losing it.   Paul does ama...

8) Very nice collection Bernie! 8) I appreciate you pulling these out and taking pictures. The picture at the bottom of page 3 is helpful also. If I understand what Bill and you described about the bolsters and liners being one piece I think the top knife pictured is an example. Is that correct? The...

Re: Miniature Italian Picklock Stiletto aka Mini Switchblade
i have pictures of the different ways they were made, some were made with solid nickel/silver bolsters and some were made with brass liners/bolsters then nickel plated then the edges were sanded down to reveal the brass but the nickel on bolsters was left alone as Bill explained but this is only 1 ...

Re: Miniature Italian Picklock Stiletto aka Mini Switchblade
In the 1970s, the Italians made the smallest stilettos with bolsters and liners cast of a single piece of brass (each side.) These handle halves were then nickel plated, the knives assembled, and the edges of the liners and bolsters ground/buffed to remove the nickel plating-exposing the brass. Thi...

Re: Miniature Italian Picklock Stiletto aka Mini Switchblade
Thanks Rob for letting me post, didn't mean to hijack your thread. I got up in the attic from hell and found the wood and will cut some little planks from it. It's definately cured out. I'm glad you posted Don. That's the cool thing about starting a thread, you never know where it's gonna go but it...

Re: Miniature Italian Picklock Stiletto aka Mini Switchblade
I apologize for the problems with the pictures. I borrowed them and in the process managed to mess them up.
More feedback on these knives please. I am especially interested in hearing opinions on the first one!

Just thought I would take a sec and thank you again for the Bull Fighter. 8) Rob sent me an unusual Mexican Bull Fighter a while back and I just have not got around to taking any pics yet. Very kind of you Rob. Your are wel...
