Just looking for advice from experienced folks on how to removes pivot pins and scales, with the least amount of damage. I've removed a few, but I'm sure there is a better way. Thanks

Re: Korean switchblade clone-please help.
No sorry I was hoping you could tell us where you got the Tai version. This a clone of a clone of a clone I reckon. The most famous being the Rizzuto Estiletto Milano that was very popular back when. I'm not as educated as others round here I just haven't seen a current production "clone" of this kn...

Re: Mini lever kit blade peek question
Yes if you don't fuss with them they come out nice except for the peek, but for me the peek is a big issue, and it ain't my fault it's peeking!! The first one I made I peened the lanyard hole over like I would a pin and it worked just dandy. I used a center punch to flare the second one and my scale...

Re: Mini lever kit blade peek question
Whippersnapper that makes me feel better kind of. At least I know the factory ones are that way. I'm just so pissed about the last one, I wanted to give it to a friend for X Mas. The blade was barely peeking, he would of not cared or even known what peeking is. But I couldn't leave well enough alone...

Re: Mini lever kit blade peek question
If MM is reading this it would be nice to hear his input and see some pics if he has them, after all he has made some extremely nice knives on this platform. I have tried MM's original advice, I have tried Bill's advice with all varying results. I know I'm a beginner but I fully understand what I'm ...

Re: Mini lever kit blade peek question
I clamped it to my friends mill with a little rag for protection. Now I have made 2 more kits and am still having trouble. I bought a center punch clamped and went to it. I have not been able to move enough metal to get it nice and below the liner. One is a hair under,, one is even, and one is a hai...

recommendations for knife materials
Hello all. Well I was wondering from the experienced folks where to buy, scale materials and pin materials. Especially pin, where to get the brass pins that come with most kits and what other "silver" pin material. I used some thin nails and cut them down, but depending, sometimes they seem a bit to...

yes be careful on that lever. I put a ding in mine due to carelessness, went to polish it out and found out the hard way they're copper underneath.

Re: Mini lever kit blade peek question
Well I used a "flat" punch and it was also a tad to big and I had alittle trouble, moving as much metal as I would have liked to. So on my next kit I was already planning on getting a center punch and using it. So I would have to agree with Bill on this one. Plus he's a big fish and I'm a little fis...
