Update on the Rizzi:
I have sent out inquiries to several companies in China and waiting for replies. Sent messages to manufacturers only. There is no patent on the knife so that won't be a problem. The really big problem is MOQ but that might be overcome with a very low price per unit.

Re: Really odd question - for me ;]
I don't own one but I've been looking for a relatively affordable bali to start with and the Kimura looks like a really good knife. I like the lines of the handles and the blades. I think I will pick one up. Thanks for the heads up Vagrant. PVK, BladeOps and BladePlay sell them.

Re: HAPPY ST.PATTY'S DAY!!!
Sorry I love the Irish and know that in many cases the English have done them wrong; I will bless everyone else but the IRA, (at least the provisional IRA.) Fighting an honest war is one thing but I don't go in for terrorism. I agree with Catavengercaptain. I wasn't going to say anything but had to...

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
 First let's just wait and see how Jmack does with his contacts. Maybe he can work some magic. Just spoke with my Chinese contact and she is looking into the Rizzis but while I was speaking to her I ordered some of these beauties. For personal use naturally. No way I'd sell one of these as the...

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
I'm serious BTB. The pics went to my knife company in China overnight. Waiting for a reply. 8) I figured you were probably being serious about sending the pics, but kidding about the logo part  Did you send them pics of a Korean Rizzuto clone, or pics of an actual Rizzuto? An Asian clone of a...

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
Just tell them to slap on a Microtech logo on 'em. :P If you really could get some of your Chinese contacts to look into getting a Rizzuto style knife made in bulk that'd be great. Have them put batwing style guards on them. I'm serious BTB. The pics went to my knife company in China overnight. Wai...

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
BTB I sent off pics to China to see if the Asian thing can happen. Let me know when you find an Italian who will make them and when you do send me a pic of their logo.

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
Personally I'd prefer a POC Chinese clone instead of a custom made Italian knife. The allure of the Rizutto is its nostalgia value not its quality. A decent clone would be fun. ( And I, as a seller of Chinese "quality products", would make a small fortune ).

Re: Is this an auto?
I've seen a few autos on ebay lately. They got pulled before I could get to them. Couple I saw and the seller mentioned " nice snap ". To me that would indicate auto. I bid on a vintage lever but it got pulled.

Agree with you 110%!!!BTB0923 wrote:
3. This is big...the scales. Not the material of the scales, but the design. A Rizzuto has scales that are flush with the bolsters which COMPLETELY changes the look of the knife. Rizzutos are also more rounded and sexy while most of the Italian scales are very boxy.
