#&*$@! Colgate-Palmolive.

The folks at Colgate Palmolive managed to tick me off. I could accept the fact they call it 'Palmolive' even though the only thing that comes from a palm is dates. I could live with that. But now they discontinued Crystal White! WTF?!?!!?! I wash my dishes with that... and use it for surfactant in m...

Re: Mini 14 Probs

With a Mini14 I'd definitely fool with the front first because they have kind of a mock Garand aperture. I know. I've got both a Mini and a Garand, but I have the 580 series Ruger. I can say that if he's got the ruger scope bases, that UTG makes a very nice rail mount for the Mini. Don't buy the GG&...

Re: New switchblade design... who do I give it to?

Yeah, and when you rotate the thumb lever toward the blade pin, I don't care how much you push on it, the knife ain't opening. I don't know if the photo was good enough to show the tiny notch in the thumb lever... but I figure on a teardrop with a hole in the center kind of a washer-like spring bent...

Re: Mini 14 Probs

isn't it move the front sight the opposite of the direction you wish point of impact to go? I guess he could install a higher front sight. Either way you can move the rear sight's zero by altering the front. A good way to test is to take a flat pice of stock set up to hook to your sight base, drill ...

Re: New switchblade design... who do I give it to?

I won't just post it, but I will send drawings to someone capable (like you, you sound like you have machines. ) I can explain anything that's not clear. I'll draw it out and photograph it.

Re: New switchblade design... who do I give it to?

if I had money for a patent attorney i'd have thirty patents just over the last five years. I don't have the money to patent anything. I doubt a major company would make it... too many machined parts. I am also not 100% on the lock. The spring will keep it fairly secure, but I have two or three idea...

Re: Mini 14 Probs

Mini 14s have improved in recent years with the release of the 580 series. If I read you right, you said you have an original (no cover over the op rod) model? If you're simply making very high groups and can't adjust the rear to them... shave the front sight down. if you're all over the paper, pull...

Re: Arnaud Biessy a bit crazy french guy

What in the world are those all metal folders with the big hollow toward the shank? Very angular.

The 'Douk-douk' on that website reminds me very much of an odd little pocket knife I found in a trailer park I destroyed. It's swedish, made by an outfit called Normark.

New switchblade design... who do I give it to?

I've come up with a design for an automatic knife. It will take a little bit of precision to make. If a guy was going to give it to a maker that's respected around here, who would it be? I'm not giving away all the details but here are some highlights: all metal construction, a coil spring -pull typ...

Re: what do I have here?

Yeah, I read all that in CCW class... Unfortunately I don't have my CCW yet, because they have fingerprinting right when I'm feeding. That said, in the city of Emmett the puercos *say* that an automatic knife carried in public can't be greater than six inches. And nothing I've seen states that there...

Re: what do I have here?

Like I said, ends in 'X'. there are three other characters, could indeed be INOX. I'm in Idaho, and none of the puercos around here seem to know how the law reads for measuring blade length. There are three methods, just like there are two methods to measure barrel length on a firearm.... The very t...

Re: what do I have here?

Profile on the Rizzuto is kinda hosed. the curvature toward the tip is leaning toward not being curved anymore. The first inch of it is chundered by a very rough stone. Feels like a nail file, and won't even open a pack of hotdogs. (guess what I had for dinner tonight?) I've got to do something... i...
