I just received one of these. Pretty decent. I have a problem flipping the lever up to open the knife. My thumb slips over the lever. I have to use my other hand to open the lever so that I then can push the lever forward with my thumb, firing the knife. Kind of silly silly to have to use both hands...

I did it. Just chinese blades, but a few are nice anyway.

Amazing amount of skill and effort.

I just meant that I thought the blade tip might be fragile because it looks wickedly pointy. That's all. I don't see how it works either.

I like that blade profile. A straight point rather than a continuation of the wave. Probably fragile, though.

Like JimBrown257 mentioned, the original spring had geometry that I could not duplicate, so I just made a simpler bend that seems to work. I replaced the brass pin that holds...

It looks like JimBrown257 may be right. Getting the bends right may be more than i am capable of. I followed Bill's advice on heating the wire and now it is much easier to bend. Well, I ain't giving up yet.

I did not know that either. Well let me try. It will be good experience anyway. I am not at all sure I will be successful.
