Social media vs knife forums
Has anybody else noticed a drastic decline in member participation on the knife forums they frequent? Some of the forums I visit are like ghost towns with very few new posts. Do you think this is a result of social media like Facebook or is interest in knives declining? What's your opinion?

The runny, not gel, superglue should run right into the cracks. Have some acetone handy for any overrun. I can't seem to use superglue without getting it somewhere I don't want it.

Re: Imitation Horn
It's about time somebody did a thread for this. Is there a difference between "imitation horn" and "genuine imitation horn"? Does "genuine" imitation horn come from imitation bulls?

Re: !!!+ Knives as weapons +!!! (Please READ!)
While i agree that its a bad idea to have the general public think of knives as weapons...it IS a legitimate discussion point on knife forums. If someone is truly looking to carry a backup blade to be used in a emergency self defense role....then which knife slices and/or stabs better is a legitima...

Re: !!!+ Knives as weapons +!!! (Please READ!)
My main objection is LE refering to a knife in somebodys pocket as "a concealed weapon" and using that label in order to effect an arrest even though the knife has not been used as a weapon.. How can a court justify the charge of carrying a concealed "weapon" if the knife, a tool of many uses, has n...

Those blades look nearly identical to the MT knockoffs blades. Even the satiny finish of the edge looks the same.
Chinese blade steel designation.
4 blades for 40 Cents = 440C

Re: Cupid Extractor 1600 help?
There are advatages to an OTF beyond the cool factor. Tops on my list is that an OTF can have a fully honed main edge and a fully serrated secondary edge making it the best of both worlds for somebody that finds occassions to need both but doesn't want to carry 2 knives. The blades on the MT vectors...

Re: Nut and Bolt Assembly
The pins are pretty soft and easily peened down with a small hammer or other similar tool. Be careful not to peen them down too tightly so you don't crack the scale. The pivot pins are usuallt stainless and are harder but can also be easily peened. Just rest the opposite side of the pin directly on ...

The spalted maple is custom, not from Buck and they are leaf spring fired. Honestly the best and most consistent conversions we've ever seen. http://www.nicnac.net/contents/media/automatic%20knife%20buck%20110%20painted%20pony%20spaulted%20maple%202.jpg http://www.nicnac.net/contents/media/buck%2011...

Re: Cupid Extractor 1600 help?
MT is going through some hard times and doing some weird things. People have been clamboring for new Socom Elites, LUDTs, UMS and the like so MT comes out with a new DA that's nearly $400 and upsized versions of the old Kestral and Vector models. The original Vecotors sold so poorly they were almost...

You might give Mike Fischer (Tank) a try at T bar K. He can fix or convert about anything. Most companies that do conversion don't like doing single knives or doing conversions of knives with sentimental value in case of a screw up.

Re: How to oil a wooden scaled Mikov?
I'm not sure but Mikov probably has some kind of a clearcoat sealer on your scales, so as long as you don't submerge, or soak your knife in oil you probably won't discolor it much worse than the oil of your skin would from everyday handling. I don't have many wood scaled knives, and I guess I never...
