Re: Barrow a Mikov spring (for cloning)

1095 would be the cheapest, easiest, but again it will need heat treatment and temper, but you know that, right?

Re: What is this? Strange folding dagger Unwin

It originally had finger guards on both bolsters. Someone removed them. boooo, But we gotta realize people do these things for whatever reason, and it greatly ruins the value. Re: Barrow a Mikov spring (for cloning)

I had the doubles they broke I ordered some of the last (to my knowledge) good singles. There were two, as far as I know. The good...

Re: Barrow a Mikov spring (for cloning)

Re: Toledo Ohio 1800's Gravity Knife

Very cool, I can't help you , but I'm a neighbor (Columbus OH). It would be nice to see something like that come back around. I don't see why you couldn't get real darn close from the pics if you can't find an original. The way the release sits seems like you could base it off the Italian super auto...

Re: Manual Swinguard Conversion?

As Bill says there's just not that many people that do this sort of thing. And the people that do make a living from it. So it's not cheap.

Re: How to replace pins and where to get them?

Monkeyleg short and long of it. Dremel the heads off carefully, tap them out with a punch. Buy brass pin stock, if it's too big chuck it in a drill and use a file to get it to size. Clip a piece off put it in a vice, use a light 2 ounce hammer and tap, tap tap, till you get a nice little head. Put i...
