Re: Picklock build
Looks like this is going to be a real beauty. I've only ever assembled two stilettos; just a basic style. I like the shotshell bolster. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product like everyone else who's been watching the step by step progress of your project.

Re: repair of sliding safety lock mechanism on a stiletto
Hello Vagrant,
I've been real busy and haven't had a chance to reply. I did give your suggestion a try and I was real careful not to push it; the safety is a little tighter now. I'm going to leave it alone.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: New guy with his first blade and a couple questions
Hello New guy with his first blade and a couple questions, I read some of the comments and I noticed that you're already thinking of buying another knife. Be careful, I thought I would only buy one or two, but within a few months I spent over a thousand dollars. It's real easy to get caught up in th...

Re: New guy with his first blade and a couple questions
Hello New Guy with his first blade, I remember my first time; I pressed the button. The blade flew out, the kick and click. It felt like real power in my hand. Sharpening takes practice and patients. Go online you'll find tips on how to do it. I'm not trying to pressure you into buying more knives, ...

Very nice lines and slender design; I like the dash of arrowhead file work.

repair of sliding safety lock mechanism on a stiletto
Hello Vagrant,
The sliding safety lock on my stiletto slips and doesn't stay in position. The knife can accidentally be opened. How can the safety lock be repaired? What can be done to keep it in place?

Re: Satellite View and Map of Maniago cutlery places
Buon giorno, The satellite view is a great idea. I liked being able to see where everything is located in Italy. My daughter is going to spend a semester in Parma in the spring of 2011. My family and I are planning to visit her for her 21st birthday and celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary both are...

Re: Gravity Knives, and OTF's
Hello Everyone, Photo number 11 is the one; the Italian trap door. I've always been a fan of the stiletto and lever locks. Well, I guess I like all automatics. Someone should go into production with the OTF Italian trap door stiletto style. I don't think it would be difficult to manufacture. I bet t...

Re: Gravity Knives, and OTF's
Hi Bill,
I'm short on funds; so, maybe I can afford to pick one up if it's not too expensive . Please email the spec's, etc.
Thank you, sincerely,
John

Re: Gravity Knives, and OTF's
Hello Autoknife,
Thanks for the info I'll see if I can find a copy of Switchblades of Italy and I'll check it out. For being almost 50 years old it looks like new. Like I said very nice! There's a good chance I won't be adding one of those to my collection. That style must be hard to come by.
