Wine good, water bad

I Knew I there was a good reason. To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... And those who don't and are always seen with a bottle of water in their hand. As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, In beer there is freedom, In water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials ...

Cool!

Maybe I should wait and see if they make an auto version of the MPC? The folding knife that intimidates dinosaurs

Re: Ceramic knives

You've got it in one. I learned the hardway. You don't put them in the drawer with steel lnive either. Max sharp is still an obsidian blade which is what certain scalpels are made with. I'm sure I've seen obsidian blades on daggers posted here and I'll bet they're also brittle.

What I got was a reasonably sharp kitchen knife that was fragile. I would stick to carbon steel. Another downer is sharpen...

Re: italian faciast dagger

Same it doesn't have the original sheath and frog, this will affect the value. There are lots of fakes around and some will fool experts. Fingers crossed yours is good.

I think I'd freak if my doctor used something like this for a blood sample!

It's from our old friend Laura Veroli.

Re: Magnets

I'd be worried about rust at the points where the magnet and the knife have contact even if I've never seen it on the kitchen knives I have on a magnetic bar.

Re: Hubertus Knives, getting worse ??

I Haven't bought a Hubertus in a couple of years. The last came from a German retailer, it was replaced twice (by the retailer) and then I gave up. The retailer told me the ones that came to him were all like that. Shame.

Re: What's the story with "David" the Mikov dealer.

Mr Mikem, david is well known to us on this forum, you obviously are not so well known here. If he doesn't define himself as a dealer because he does it part-time SO WHAT. I've never heard of anyone having a bad experience in a deal with David, I've bought from him a few times over the years and com...

Pixie dust regrows soldiers limbs

'Pixie Dust' made from pig bladders regrows limbs of wounded soldiers | Mail Online

This is a great development even if the "regrows limbs" is premature.

To quote Isa from Teddy's on the subject "I wonder how many muslim true believers will refuse the treatment?"

New Sniper record

Brings to mind the old tale of the sniper being asked what he felt when he shot a terrorist: "recoil".
