Was in wally world couple weeks ago and to my surprise... Buck released a 110 with a beer bottle popper, all decked out in a collector's tinnie. Well at the grand sum of TWENTY THREE buck dollars, I proclaimed it SOLD! The only bummer, is the sheath tucked safely below the tray was nylon. For that k...

It's a combination of many factors, some already pointed out. Styling... seems the trend now is for black knives which all look close to the same... the Tactical Urban Assault knives . The Piranha is a bit stylized which may not be to some peoples liking. Same can be said about the splash anodizatio...

Yep, It's ATS-34. My Dad has the same knife, and it is very sharp. This one he gave me just wasn't sharpened very good. Very steep angle. It took a long time to re-profile the edge to a shallower angle. I used a EZELap medium grit diamond rod. I also think, judging from experience w/ other ats-34 k...

for what it's worth... I like CRKT (Columbia River) fixed blade knives quite a bit. They're pretty rugged and affordable. For something a little more serious, I'd probably look towards Becker. Again, good stuff for the money. Camillus also has some nice stuff in their line. I can't find anything wro...

I could do without the carabiner, but doubling as a bottle opener does make it usefull  Newcastle no gots twisty tops  This is the first I've heard of these. I take it they've been sposed to come for awhile now? Betcha Leatherman went to China for production, and is finding the durability ...

It is interesting. I'd be interested in scaling some, but I don't like the "You get what we send" option. Anyhow... I live in NY, and take notice of knives that *were* made round here. Many were. Camillus, Kabar, Schrade , all some notable manufacturers who at one time, brought knives out this place...

BTW, Tanto has pics on his site of the "utility" blade for the Mikov, too...It sort of resembles the clip-point that most utility knives have...should you not like the paddle-shaped "dagger" blade... :D IMO, the clip point is very not aerodynamic. or ergonomic. or some kinda namic/nomic i dunno... ...

IIRC, isn't this blade ATS-34? If it's in fact a "super steel", that would explain the difficulty in sharpening. Diamond stones ought work best I reckon. But in any case... The difference is worth it. IMHO, that is. 8) There are, arguably, better super steels for blades- again IMHO... but for the mo...

Being DEFENSELESS in a small area, at 30,000 ft is NOT on my agenda  [The corner of a laptop to the temple could help "even the odds" but I'd rather take the car than trust improvised methods of dealing with threats]. Preaching to the choir here, my brother... I feel every sane, reasonable ci...

Thats why I, being a sensible buyer, will recommend to other, sensible buyers, to check Robert first. Listen, if I had to deal with some of the idiots out there, in a sales position, I'd tell many to go get royally stuffed too. Robert has shown more restraint and patience than I would be capable of ...
