This is not transitional. This is earlier than transitional.
This is a nice late 1950's picklock stiletto made in Maniago, Italy. It has a slip in spring, nickel silver bolsters (and button / safety), brass d-stamped liners, and pearlex / celluloid scales.

Oh now that is a very neat find. I would also think that they are worth about 100 - 115 maybe a piece because of the original wrapper.
I believe Colonial made them on contract for the US Military, others on the forum will know more than I for sure. And they are collectible, yes.

Massaro (Guido Ottavio Massaro) makes a terrific knife. I was just thinking last night, as I ad my role open and a bunch of really high dollar expensive old automatic knives out, how well the Massaro fired and locked up compared with all of these others.

Would it be better to leave as is or find someone to restore it.....it had an $80 tag on it but got it for $50 Leave it alone. A tiny bit of household oil on the moving parts and that's it. I wouldn't say a 13 inch round bolster Latama is "super rare" but they are definitely not the most common of ...
