Re: Bud Nealy dagger
Yeah, Twobit, I am conflicted on this because I want to adhere to the "first, do no harm" credo.

Re: Some mini switchblades
Thanks Jay. I am indeed very lucky to have inherited a beautiful collection from my father.

Re: New guy
Here's the EdgeCo knife kit (unassembled) that I posted a few days ago. Sorry for the repeat, but it seems relevant to the discussion.

Buebendorf Knife Belt
This is one of my favorite pieces. It's beautifully made and very practical. And the belt is wide and thick enough to be a gun belt. I've only seen a few of these (online, not in person). Has anyone else seen one? The belt is only 41 inches long (purchased when I was younger and thinner), so it's go...

AG Russell Sting
Here's an oldie but goodie. I had two of these, but can't find the second one (damn!). I think this one is 1970s vintage. It actually did see a lot of time in my boot.

Re: Bud Nealy dagger
The rubber handle has held up pretty well, but I think it will need some help soon so that it doesn't get brittle. Any ideas out there about this?

Re: Edge Company auto kit
Thanks all, for your insights. Since I don't have a choice in any case, I won't assemble it!

Re: Edge Company auto kit
Yeah, the issue is that the bend in the spring is not "deep" enough and the pin can't be pushed by it. I've tried pushing it down with a flathead screwdriver, as well as other tools, but I think that the spring is just not bent enough. Oh well...

Re: Edge Company auto kit
Sorry, I didn't think that anyone would try to actually analyze the mechanical problem from my photo! Here is a photo of the parts. The spring LOOKS like it is the correct shape and that it should fit, but it doesn't. I have been pretty aggressive in trying to fit it, but nada.

Edge Company auto kit
Is there any value to this kit? I have it forever, and I can't assemble it. It seems to me that the spring is malformed. Is it even worth trying to repair it?

Bud Nealy dagger
I bought this Bud Nealy custom, Aikuchi knife in the early 1990s. It has rubberized handle and Damascus Meier Steel blade, that is razor sharp. It measures 9” overall and has a 4.75” blade. The blade has a serial number of 929. IMG_6787.JPEG IMG_6790.JPEG IMG_6788.JPEG IMG_6789.JPEG IMG_6791.JPEG

Re: Some of my older autos
Yeah, I have three different sizes of the "tourist knife", including some mini knives I showed in another post. My father bought them in Sorrento or Positano in the late '80s or early 90's.

Is the Hellraiser the one on the far right, or the fourth from the right?
