Could the extra weight be from going to zinc/white metal from aluminum for the handles ? Never seen a Lightning with that style blade (the two tone treatment), very similar to all those new OTFs coming out of Texas. Several brands, all the same handle profiles. I have one of the earlier EVO knives without the pocket clip. It is well built for the price and has less blade play than my UTX 85

The EVO is A pretty well made knife. I was shocked that it has less blade play than my Microtech UTX-85. It is is a good deal for $80.
